ASSISTANT CAFE MANAGER

We are looking for a coffee professional and/or experienced food and beverage manager to join our management team as a front of house manager at our Oceanside cafe. This position is a supportive role to our Cafe Manager and is full time. We are seeking someone passionate about team development both in coffee skills and excellent customer service. This role requires someone naturally gifted with organization and multitasking, while remaining focused and calm in busy situations.

THE JOB

Conducts a variety of training shifts from an employees first days on the job to developing seasoned staff to move into more advanced positions

Oversees cafe inventory and ordering, ensuring all aspects of the store are stocked and ready for service at all times

Supporting the Cafe Manager with onboarding and developing staff, handling call-outs and emergencies, facilities upkeep, and other supportive actions as directed by the manager

Working closely with other Revo departments like kitchen, commissary, pastry, and roasting teams to ensure cafe service and product is held to Revo standards at all times

QUALITIES

This role requires someone who is exceptional at developing and upholding standards amongst a team of peers. Our management sets a high bar and supports staff as much as needed for our team to meet and exceed it. Being able to correct and teach with poise is essential.

We’re looking for someone detail oriented with a brain wired to organize, upkeep, and keep things tight. Not only will you be responsible for stocking and ordering almost everything that comes into the cafe, but you will serve as a role model for your team in keeping things well kept and the cafe running efficiently.

QUALIFICATION S

1 year+ in a specialty coffee environment, preferably as a barista trainer or manager

Additional experience in food and beverage preferred

History of developing knowledge and skills in those around them

Availability to work consistent early mornings + weekends, and the occasional evening shift
